13 Ultra comes with a leather back, metal frame
While we are just one day away from the launch event, Xiaomi shared some details about the upcoming flagship phone. According to the images, the new Ultra device comes with a leather back, and metal frame that extends to the back. Also, we can see that there is a large camera module with quad cameras on the back as expected.
On the official Weibo page of the company, Xiaomi shared detailed images of the 13 Ultra by confirming the leaked renders with the thick bump sticking out around the camera island. According to the images, the new device will have a case with a metal frame and Xiaomi says that the new flagship comes with the second generation nanotechnology, IP68 dust, and waterproof ratings.
Additionally, Xiaomi announced some features of the camera system of the new phone. Xiaomi revealed that the 13 Ultra will have an IMX989 1″ sensor with f/1.9 and f/4.0 variable aperture, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 ultra-wide, telephoto, and super-telephoto sensor. Moreover, the device will support a Summicron lens by Xiaomi and Leica, All-Pixel focus, DOL-HDR technology, and LN2 noise reduction.
Xiaomi also revealed some details about the display of the new Ultra phone. The company says the phone will feature an LTPO OLED panel developed by Xiaomi and China Star. The panel is called C7, and it will have 1440 x 3200 px resolution with a maximum peak brightness of 2,600 nits for HDR content.
